Rodell E Pratt age 71 of Canadensis PA passed into peaceful rest at Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono Campus on February 14, 2026. Rodell was born to the late Glenn Dell Pratt and the late Grace Elizabeth Thomas on January 7, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland. He and his eleven siblings grew up in the Pocono Mountains.
He graduated from Pocono Central Catholic in 1972. Rodell and his late brother Rodney starred on the Kinsmen basketball team, and they played on the Kinsmen baseball league. Rodell attended Mansfield State University and graduated in 1976 with a major in Sociology and minor in Psychology. Rodell retired from a public service career with the County of Lehigh where he worked for many years holding various department positions with Human Services that assisted individuals with Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities.
Rodell enjoyed riding his motorcycles and always enjoyed nice cars. He was an avid Corvette owner for many years. He cared for all animals and very much loved his dogs Deacon, Babygirl, and Jada and his cats Cleo, Minnie, Spanky, Fiestie, Cutie-Pie, Zookie, and Bellie they all filled his life with love, pride and joy. He was a volunteer at Animal Rescue from 2007-2011 and volunteered at Protecting the Innocent. He started BBPC the Baby Bullies Puppy Calendar that featured photos of endearing puppies of the Bully Breed and various Pitbull accessories and apparel promoting positive awareness and love for the breed. Rodell’s home was a sanctuary for the wildlife animals that he made sure were well fed from the wild turkeys, squirrels, birds, and the heard of deer that frequently visit his backyard daily.
Rodell was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend and will be immensely missed by those he leaves behind. He was always known to love the delicious food served at the family barbecues, picnics, and holiday gatherings and was infamous for taking pictures of his plates. He will also be remembered as the first to initiate and get his money out to start a friendly competitive game of cards at family gatherings to teach the younger generations how to play to win.
Rodell was predeceased by his parents Glenn Pratt and Grace Thomas, his brothers Glenn Pratt, Gwendell Pratt, Raymond Pratt, Gerard Pratt, Rodney Pratt, Gabriel Pratt and sister Joanne/Gladys Pratt. He is survived by his sisters Greta (Pratt) Sacks, Lahaina/Renee (Pratt) Kameha, and Shelly/Rochell Pratt and his brother Robert Pratt. Rodell has numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews that will continue to honor and cherish his memory.
