EARLY LIFE
 

Rod was born at Detroit Receiving Hospital on February 4th, 1954. He was the second child of James M. Montgomery and Margaret S. Montgomery. He grew up with two brothers: Cliff being the older and Jim the younger.
WORK
Rod Attended Fairlane junior high and Fordson high school. In high school he worked for his aunt and uncle at Walt's Auto Parts store. He went on to work at Montgomery Ward's in Auto repair at the East Dearborn location. Then on to work in the Tool and Gauge industry for many Metro Detroit shops for over 30 years.
LOVE
Rod met and married Diana in May of 1980 and they were married for 9 years.
He then met the love of his life, Cheryl, in the 1990's. They lived in a house on Lake Huron for several years. They loved swimming in the lake, and they both had a love for music whether it was listening to records, the radio or Cheryl playing her organ. When Cheryl became sick with cancer Rod took care of her to the very end.
