Send Flowers
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Roland "Old Rol" Dubord, age 93, on December 30, 2025, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Born on May 3, 1932, in Barrhead, Alberta, Roland lived a long and full life marked by dedication to his work, faith, a deep love for his family, and an adventurous spirit that carried him through nearly a century of experiences.

For many years, Roland was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, giving generously of his time. He was also a proud and active member of Local 488 since 1971, where he devoted over five decades—54 years—to his trade. Roland's unwavering commitment to his profession reflected the same values he brought to every aspect of his life: hard work, integrity, and perseverance. Through the years, he earned the respect of colleagues and peers alike for his steadfast dedication and tireless work ethic.

Roland was known not only for his professional accomplishments but also for the warmth and compassion he extended to those around him. He was a loving husband to Terry and a devoted father to Jacolen, Albert, Denis, and Paul. His family continued to grow through generations; he was cherished by his ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Each generation carries forward a part of Roland's legacy—his strength of character, sense of adventure, and enduring love. They will miss him dearly, along with his brother, Camille.

Roland's family and friends will fondly remember his adventurous spirit, whether he was sharing stories from his travels or encouraging loved ones to embrace new challenges with open hearts. Above all else, Roland was a family man whose compassion touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He was predeceased by his beloved son, Albert; great-grandson, Devan; parents, Fred and Anna; and sisters, Yolande and Egland. Their memories remained close to Roland's heart throughout his life.

Roland will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of many. As we gather to celebrate his life, we invite friends and family to share their cherished memories and stories, ensuring that his adventurous and loving spirit continues to unite us.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 18407 - 60 Avenue NW, Edmonton. To view a livestream of the service, please visit www.parkmemorial.com and select "Webcasting" from Roland's Book of Memories.
