Romaine Marie “Romy” Thweatt (née Moe)
Devoted Mother, Loving Wife, Proud Grandmother
Romaine Marie “Romy” Thweatt passed away on March 5, 2026. Known to many friends as Romy Moe, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love for her family was the center of her life.
Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Romy grew up in both Las Vegas and Reno. She later met her husband, Ron, in Reno in 1996 through mutual friends they worked with. What began as a chance introduction grew into a lasting partnership and life together.
Romy’s greatest joy was her sons, Christopher and Carson. She made the decision to become a stay-at-home mother so she could devote her time and energy to raising them, a choice she never once regretted. She took pride in creating a loving home for her family and treasured being present for every stage of her sons’ lives.
She loved cooking for her family and was especially known for baking chocolate chip cookies for her boys, a simple tradition that became one of the many ways she showed her love.
Romy was also blessed to become a grandmother to her cherished seven-month-old granddaughter, Ellie, who brought her great happiness and pride.
A very self-motivated person, Romy took great pride in staying active and healthy. For many years she was an avid runner and maintained a disciplined workout routine. Her determination was perhaps best shown when she continued running even during her pregnancies, right up until the time her sons were born.
Romy also had a passion for fashion and jewelry. For many years she enjoyed selling jewelry online, combining her eye for style with her love of connecting with people. She took pride in helping others find pieces that made them feel special, and she truly enjoyed the friendships and experiences that came from that work.
Those who knew Romy will also remember her beautiful smile, which reflected the warmth and kindness she carried with her throughout her life.
Romy will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her strength and determination, and the warmth she brought to those around her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ron; her sons, Christopher and Carson; her beloved granddaughter, Ellie; and extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.
A memorial or celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
Her love for her family was the guiding force of her life, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
