Ronald Wayne Baron
March 15, 1953 - November 26, 2025
Ronnie Baron, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend to all who knew him, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on March 15, 1953, in Port Arthur, Texas, Ronnie spent his early years in Alexandria, Louisiana, where his natural athletic talent quickly became evident. A proud graduate of Holy Savior Menard High School, he excelled in football, baseball, track, and basketball—setting a high bar for what it meant to be a true multi-sport athlete.
Ronnie continued his football journey at Nicholls State University, where his dedication, drive, and love for the game left a lasting impression on teammates and coaches alike. After college, he made Baton Rouge his home, where he lived for more than 50 years and built a life filled with purpose, service, and joy.
In 1996, Ronnie founded ProServe Inc., a company that reflected his strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to helping others. His philanthropy was abundant and heartfelt—quiet, steady acts of generosity that changed lives without seeking recognition.
Ronnie never met a stranger. His stories were legendary, his laughter infectious, and his ability to light up any room unmatched. He had the remarkable gift of making everyone feel seen, valued, and welcomed.
Above all, Ronnie loved his family deeply, and they adored him in return. He shared over 52 years of marriage with the love of his life, Cathy Baron, who remained faithfully by his side through every chapter. Together they raised four children whom he treasured: Jessica Baron Oxmann (Mike), Ronnie Baron Jr. (Jeanna), Katie Baron Migues (Joey), and Bret Baron (Rachel). His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Ronald Wayne Baron III (Tre), Reid Baron, Brooks Baron, Ivy Frances Migues, and Ryan Ashley Baron, and a step grandchild Parker Roth.
Visitation will be held at the highland Campus of Healing Place Church Annex on Tuesday, December 2nd at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. to be done by a dear family friend, Pastor Wayne Austin. 19202 Highland Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Bella Bowman Foundation or the Our Lady of the Lake Foundation—organizations that reflect Ronnie's giving spirit and passion for helping others.
The family wants to thank all of the doctors and nurses that have cared for him over the years.
Ronnie Baron lived a life full of love, laughter, generosity, and purpose. His stories, his kindness, and his unwavering love for his family will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.
