1948 - 2026

Mr. Ronald George "Ron" Donais, 78, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Annandale, Virginia. Born on February 22, 1948, in Southbridge, Massachusetts, Ron lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him.

Ron earned a Master's Degree in Education from Worcester State College in Worcester, Massachusetts. His commitment to learning and personal growth was evident throughout his life and career. He also proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his active duty service, Ron continued to serve as a reservist in the U.S. Army and later as a full-time member of the Individual Army Reserve. His military career took him across the globe to places such as Germany, France, Italy, and Korea—experiences that fueled his lifelong love of travel.

Ron cherished time spent with his family above all else. He is survived by his former wife and companion Pamela Donais; daughter Lisa Marie Donais; son Ryan Matthew Donais; granddaughter Olivia Grace Donais; and brother Donald Donais. He was predeceased by his parents Wilfrid and Eleanor Donais and his brother Paul Donais.

A man of many passions, Ron found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved walking along the beach, listening to the soothing sound of ocean waves, and savoring fresh seafood. The outdoors called to him often—whether it was exploring nature or strolling through Washington, D.C., he embraced every opportunity to connect with the world around him. Ron's travels extended beyond his military service; he and Pam visited Canada several times together, where they delighted in French culture.

Above all else, Ron's greatest pride was his children. His love for them was boundless, and he carried immense pride in their accomplishments throughout his life.

May Ronald George Donais be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, his adventurous spirit, and the warmth he brought to those who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
