Ronald Arthur "Ron" Gleason, a proud Navy veteran and respected master electrician, passed away on December 25, 2025, in West Melbourne, Florida. He was 81 years old.

Born on September 19, 1944, in Brockton, Massachusetts, Ron carried with him a lifelong passion for understanding how things worked. A curiosity that proved useful in both his military service and professional career. After serving honorably in the United States Navy, he returned home with renewed purpose and began building a life rooted in dedication and craftsmanship.

Ron went on to establish Gleason Electric, where he became known throughout his community for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering fairness. Whether wiring an entire home or repairing a single outlet, he approached every project with integrity and care. His pride in workmanship left a lasting impression on clients and colleagues alike.

Ron served the town of Kingston in Planning and Zoning, and the Board of Selectman, as well as chairman and member on several committees for many years. His legacy in the the town of Kingston began with the funding, construction and erection of the lighting on Sirrico Field at Silver Lake High School, where thousands of young athletes and community members have, and continue to enjoy, games under the lights. Ron's dedication to the community that he called home for over 4 decades will never be forgotten.

He shared 49 cherished years of marriage with his beloved wife Jeannette Gleason until her passing in 2016. Together they raised two sons: David Gleason and his partner Erin of Kingston, Massachusetts; and Dana Gleason and his wife Susan of Pembroke, Massachusetts. "Poppi" was a source of love and wisdom for his grandchildren Trevor, Andrew, Tyler, Hanna, Emma, Cameron, Arden and Arianna.

Ron is also survived and admired by his brother-in-law Vinny and his wife Sharon of Venice, Florida.

In recent years, Ron found love and companionship with Lorraine Dambro, of Melbourne, Florida. He is also remembered by his brothers: Edward Gleason of Melbourne; and Robert Gleason and his wife Gail, of Kingston, Massachusetts. He is also survived by many nephews who held him in high regard.

Ron's hobbies reflected his creative spirit. He enjoyed building remote control cars and airplanes as well as crafting birdhouses by hand. In later years, he found joy in peaceful neighborhood walks and lending a helping hand to neighbors with small electrical projects.

He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Celia Gleason of Brockton, Massachusetts.

Ron leaves behind a legacy of skilled hands, quiet strength, integrity, unwavering dedication, and above all, a deep love and loyalty for family. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held in late Spring or early Summer to honor Ron in or near his home town of Kingston, Massachusetts.
