Ronald Edwin Ofeldt passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 16, 1948, Ronald was known for his vibrant sense of humor and creative spirit. He was always thinking of new ideas and how to bring them to life. He deeply loved motorcycles and was infamous for his playful pranks.
Ronald graduated from Pearl River High School and dedicated many years of service as a Postal Carrier at the Blauvelt Post Office and as a Dispatcher with Chestnut Ridge Transportation. He also spent several seasons working at The Forest of Fear. His work ethic and jovial nature left a lasting impression on his colleagues and those he served in the community.
Ronald is survived by his loving family, including his daughters Christine (Ronald) Kowalski, Valerie (Frank) Luciano, Nicole Sudial; sons Ronald (Colleen) Ofeldt, and Jonathan Ofeldt; brother Frank A. Ofeldt; nephew Frankie Ofeldt; and grandchildren Michael, Jack, and Kenneth Kowalski, Frankie, and Christopher Luciano, Shane, and Justin Sudial, and Malcolm Ofeldt. His extended family includes many cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Frank A. Ofeldt and Harriett (Charters) Ofeldt; his sister-in-law, Frances Ofeldt; Linda Ofeldt; and his niece, Kimberly Needham.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on December 28, 2025, 11:30 am, at Good Shepherd Church, Pearl River New York. In place of flowers, donations can be made to the Warwick Valley Humane Society, an organization Ronald held dear.
Ronald Edwin Ofeldt will be remembered as a man who brought laughter and joy to many, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
