Ronald Eugene Quimby, 88, Oregon, OH passed away at Mercy Health-Heart and Vascular Institute, St. Vincent, Toledo, OH on January 17th, 2026. He was born in Urbana, OH on January 1st, 1938. He was the son of Mary (Louden) and adoptive father Richard Quimby.
Ron was a proud graduate of DeVilbiss High School in 1955 where he excelled in both football and wrestling. Shortly after high school he enlisted into the United States Air Force where he served honorably for 6 years. After running his own HVAC company for many years, he went on to be the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds for Flower Hospital, Rossford and Bedford Local Schools. He enjoyed attending all the kids and grandkids sporting events, The Michigan Wolverines and Jaycee events. In his later years he particularly enjoyed his Native American flutes. A hobby that he excelled at and shared with many.
He is survived by his daughter Karin (Bob Gaddis) Quimby and Rick (Sandy) Quimby, sisters Sue (Jerry) Sauter, Toledo, OH and Patricia (Robert) Linn, Austin, TX and three granddaughters, Jackie, Megan and Sarah.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
