Ronald E. Stevens

Ronald E Stevens, 81, of Dayville passed away on Friday February 6, 2026, at Matulaitis Rehab Center in Putnam. He was born in Middletown, CT on November 1, 1944, one of nine children, son of the late Albert E. and Hilda (Schultz) Stevens. Butch attended Vinal Technical High School in Middletown. He worked many jobs throughout his life including owning and operating a landscaping company in CT and most recently, his small engine repair business in FL. Butch is survived by his wife Helen Stevens and her two children, Julie Jaworski of Bolton, MA and Stefan Jaworski of Killingly, CT. Besides his wife, he leaves behind his five children: Dawn Powers of VT, Kimberly and her husband Timothy Shettleworth of Middletown, Jeremy and his wife Jennifer of Fl, Donald and his wife Julie of Middletown, and Craig and his wife Angela of Essex, CT. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. tillinghastfh.com
