Ronald G. Stoppelmann, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at age 87, surrounded by family. He lived a life defined by devotion—to his family, his values, and his community—and will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering integrity.

Ron was a man of deep character and quiet strength. He approached life with thoughtfulness, generosity, and a steady sense of responsibility, always placing the needs of others before his own. Ron shared 64 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Irene. Together they built a life full of partnership and adventure. They loved to travel, explore new places, and golf. As grandparents, they made a great team. Their bond was a testament to commitment and companionship, and Irene's presence was a cherished constant for him.

Family was the center of Ron's life. "Poppy" took immense pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, celebrating their accomplishments and supporting them through every stage of life. His presence at family gatherings, holidays, and milestones was a constant, grounding force, and his legacy lives on through the values he instilled in generations of his family.

Professionally, Ron achieved great accomplishments in the New York City taxi industry, where he built a respected career through hard work, perseverance, and integrity. His dedication and leadership earned him the respect of colleagues and peers, and his work contributed meaningfully to a cornerstone of New York City culture.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, his children, Andy and Shelley, Eddie and Irit, his grandchildren, Nathan, Rebecca, Sheryl, Aaron, Danielle and Jacob, and great-grandchildren, Shira, Natalie, Hudson, Asher, Libby and Olivia.
