Ronisha Chestnut Johnson, aged 47, passed away on April 13, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. As a wife, daughter, and mother, she lived with a deep sense of commitment, leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. Born on Sep 25, 1978, Ronisha was the daughter of Joseph Chestnut and Linda Jackson. Raised in Raeford, North Carolina, she was a dedicated student and a faithful soul from her earliest years. Her intellect and diligence shone throughout her youth, leading her to graduate at the top of her class at Hoke County High School.

She met and fell in love with the love of her life, David Johnson. As college sweethearts, their bond grew into a beautiful marriage. To this union, they were blessed with their precious daughter, Amora Johnson, who was the light of Ronisha's life.

Ronisha found immense joy in the simple beauties of life. She had a passion for gardening, tending to her plants with the same care and patience she showed her family. She also enjoyed the thrill of shopping, always finding the perfect items for those she loved. Her laughter and unstoppable spirit will be forever missed.

Ronisha's memory will be cherished by her devoted husband, David Johnson, and their beloved daughter, Amora Johnson. Along with her parents, Joseph Chestnut and Linda Jackson, she leaves behind her siblings: Clarissa Chestnut, Patrick Woods (Denise), Sonya Burns (Quincy), and Teresa Boot (Carl).

Beyond her immediate family, Ronisha leaves behind many relatives and close friends, as well as a community that was truly enriched by her presence.

Respecting the family's request for privacy, they ask that no visitors be received. While a traditional funeral service will not be conducted, Ronisha will be remembered and honored through cremation.
