Roosevelt Tremaine Blackmon Jr.

Roosevelt Blackmon Jr., a man who truly had love for everybody Roosevelt Tremaine Blackmon Jr. was born on May 2nd, 1979 in Gary, Indiana to his loving mother and father Roosevelt Blackmon Sr. and Angela “Mason” Blackmon. Roosevelt graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2001 making unforgettable memories and friends along the way. And with his working spirit Roosevelt’s notable careers was being a correctional officer for GEO Group for 6 years and a certified forklift driver for several medical warehouses in Indianapolis, Indiana. In August of 2004 Roosevelt was united in marriage to Nikki Flenorl and to this union the apple of his eye Angela Nicole was born. Roosevelt was a was an avid gamer and a foodie who enjoyed talking to people, eating a good home cooked meals, and being in the presence of his family. Roosevelt is survived by his devoted daughter Angela Blackmon and his two children of love Jalen Flenorl and Cardie Flenorl and grandchild of love Amara Flenorl all of Indianapolis, IN. His brothers Kenneth Wade of Milwaukee WI and Eric (Nicole) Blackmon of Merrillville, IN. His best friends Benjamin Walton Sr and Jermaine Jackson both of Gary, IN, and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 2026 at McDuffie Funeral Home 1525 Broadway, Gary, IN 46407. Viewing 9:00AM -11:00AM with funeral immediately following at 11:00AM.
