Roseanna "Posie" Tidwell

Roseanna"Posie"Tidwell, 73, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great, great grandmother, Roseanna was known for her unwavering love for her family and her quiet strength in the face of life's challenges. Born on January 1, 1952, in Middletown, Roseanna was the daughter of Theodore Gilbert Sr. and Marianna (Klackner) Gilbert. She grew up surrounded by family and community, graduating from Lemon Monroe High School. A dedicated and hardworking woman, she spent many years as manager of Perkins Restaurant, where she was admired for her leadership, kindness, and strong work ethic. Roseanna married Larry Tidwell, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship before his passing. She is survived by her children, Brian (Debbie) Haag of Irving, TX and Jennie Mannon of Middletown, OH; her siblings, Brenda Jensen, Theodore Gilbert Jr., and Ron (Yvonne) Gilbert; as well as several grandchildren- Meganne Woods, Elijah Tackett, and Marilou Mannon, as well as several great-grandchildren- Serenity, Major, Carter, Harmony, and Zy'iah, and 1 great, great grand-child- Stormi, all of whom brought her endless joy. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Larry Tidwell and Lewis Haag; her parents; her grand-child Jacob Haag, and her sister, Linda Back. Roseanna cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great, great grand-child. She loved camping with Ron and Yvonne at Ceasars Creek, making s'mores around the campfire, watching wildlife, and traveling when her health allowed. She also loved curling up with a good book. Per her wishes, no formal funeral was held. Her cremation was performed by Trinity Cremation Services in Carlisle, OH. Family gathered for lunch at one of her favorite restaurants on November 28, 2025, to celebrate her life and share memories.
