Rosemarie Elaine Theriault-Keyser

1947 - 2026

Rosemarie Elaine Theriault Keyser, lovingly known as "Rosie," passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, March 13, 2026. She was 79 years old.
Rosie was born on March 4, 1947, in Waterbury, Connecticut, to Arthur Ralph Theriault and Marie A. Biancardi Theriault. She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School and later attended the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston.
In 1969, Rosie moved to Naples, Florida, where she met and married Allan James Keyser. Although the couple later divorced in 1989, they shared many years together and welcomed their beloved daughter, Victoria "Torrie" Keyser.
Rosie became a familiar and cherished presence in Naples. In January 1970, she and Jimmy opened The Pewter Mug restaurant, where Rosie worked as a cocktail waitress and gracious hostess. She loved her customers and built lasting friendships with many who walked through the doors.
She was also an active member of the Heart Ball Committee in Naples for many years, dedicating her time to supporting charitable causes in her community. Later in her career, Rosie worked as an esthetician at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club Spa for over a decade, where her clients appreciated her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.
Rosie had a lifelong passion for sports, health, and fitness. In the 1970s she was a member of Naples Bath and Tennis Club, where she enjoyed swimming and playing tennis. In the 1980s, she became the first social member of Quail Creek Country Club. She loved spending time there swimming daily, socializing with friends in the fitness center, and playing both tennis and golf. Her active lifestyle and love of community were a big part of who she was.
Rosie also had a deep love for flowers, especially orchids, which reflected her appreciation for beauty, elegance, and care. Her home was often brightened with orchids—many in her favorite color, blue—adding a sense of peace and warmth to the spaces where she welcomed family and friends. They were a simple but meaningful expression of her style and spirit.
In 2021, Rosie moved to Chatham, Virginia, to be closer to her family, spending cherished time with her daughter Torrie, her grandson Dillon, and her son-in-law Robb.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Marie A. Biancardi Theriault and Arthur Ralph Theriault.
She is survived by her daughter, Torrie; her grandson, Dillon; and her son-in-law, Robb. She is also survived by her brothers, Arthur Theriault and his wife Virginia, along with their children Craig, Jason, and Tracy and their families; and Brian Theriault and his wife Paula, along with their children Brooke and Jonathan and their families.
Rosie will be remembered for her warmth, generous spirit, love of people, and the joy she brought to every room. Her laughter, kindness, and deep love for her family and friends will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 31st at 11:30am in Naples, Florida, at Ridgeway's in Olde Naples. In honor of Rosie's love for flowers, guests are invited to wear or bring something blue, as a tribute to her beautiful spirit.
