Roxanne Dapp Carden, age 71, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026.

Roxanne was born on March 9, 1954, and grew up in Levittown, Pennsylvania, where she built her life, worked, and raised her daughter alongside her husband. In 2008, she relocated to Vero Beach, Florida, where she made her home for the remainder of her life.

She was known for her smile, humor, curiosity, strong convictions, and deep care for others. Roxanne loved learning new things, spending time in nature, and engaging in thoughtful, meaningful conversation. She believed deeply in people’s rights—to feel safe, free, and supported—and she carried those values into her relationships and daily life.

Roxanne shared 46 years of marriage with her husband, Roy “Bud” Carden. They were best friends who faced life side by side and never stopped laughing together. Their partnership was marked by devotion, humor, and deep companionship. In her final days, Bud lovingly cared for her, just as he had throughout their life together.

She had a lifelong love for animals, especially dogs. Roxanne spoke often of the many dogs and cats she loved over the years, and the comfort and joy they brought into her life.

For many years, Roxanne worked at Delaware Valley Medical Center, where she found not only purpose in her work but also lasting friendships. She took pride in what she did, deeply enjoyed her job, and cherished the colleagues who became close friends.

Above all else, Roxanne was a Mother. She raised her daughter with love, intention, and fierce protection, and she extended that same care to anyone who needed encouragement, to be heard, and always offered a safe place to land. Many found guidance and belonging through her kindness.

Roxanne is survived by her husband, Roy “Bud” Carden; her daughter Amanda Carden Chamberlain, and son-in-law, Matt; her brother, Robert Dapp; her sister, Kimberly Dapp; her aunts, Lois Lavelle and Claudia Zosh; cat, Lewie; dog, Milo, as well as nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

She is now reunited with her parents, Robert “Bob” Dapp and Marie Zosh Dapp, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, niece, nephew, and friends who passed before her. Along with her beloved animals; Aaron, Odie, Gus, Ben, Chester, Gidget, Aggie,
