He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Paulette (Algier, Dignard) McLachlan of Leominster; his daughters Heather Hamel (Barry) of Lunenburg and Marcy Gopfert (David) of Sutton; and his sons Jason Dignard of Leominster and Kenneth Dignard (Mary Kate) of Gardner. Roy was also a proud grandfather to Brett Hamel (Brianna), Brianna Hamel, Shelby Guinard, Rachel Gopfert, Carley Gopfert, Wesley Gopfert, Wyatt Dignard, and Vincent Dignard. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Kendal Gopfert.
In honor of Roy’s wishes, a private service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roy’s name to Health Alliance Home Health and Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
