Ruth Anice Borneman, of Limerick, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 24, 2026. She was born on December 22, 1932.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Martha (Kelius) Borneman; her sister, Martha Louise Borneman; her brothers, Glenn F. Borneman and Harvey Borneman; and her nephew Jeffery Borneman.

She is survived by her brother, Robert A. Borneman, and his spouse, Patricia; her nieces and nephews, Samuel J. Borneman (Katie), Elisa Borneman (Glen Cooper), Greg Borneman, Kelli Markoski (Mike), and Vicki Hernandez (Fortunato); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Sofia and Stephanie Mata, William and Krista Borneman, Kaya Hernandez, and Jordan and Jeffrey Markoski.

Ruth was a graduate of Limerick School, Pottstown High School, and the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She devoted 39 years of her professional life to the nursing department at Reading Hospital, where she served with dedication and compassion.

Throughout her life, Ruth was deeply involved in her community. She was a member of the Melody Maids at Pottstown High School, sang in the church choir at St. James Reformed UCC in Limerick, and was a lifetime member of the Limerick Historical Society, serving for many years as its historian. She also served as a board member and past president of the Limerick Church Burial Grounds. An avid and highly respected genealogist, Ruth possessed immense knowledge of the families and history of Limerick. In her younger years, she also enjoyed golf, tennis, and bowling.

Ruth will be fondly remembered for her quick wit, her quiet sense of humor, and the little smile that appeared whenever something amused her. Her knowledge, dedication, and love for her community will be deeply missed.

Ruth's funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 31st, at the Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., 21 W. Main St., Trappe, with the Rev. Beth Eustis, Pastor, St. James United Church Of Christ, Limerick, officiating. Burial will be private in the Limerick Church Burial Ground. Friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, Saturday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth's honor to the Limerick Church Burial Ground, c/o Donald L. Andes, Treasurer, 1031 E. High St., Pottstown PA 19464; or the Limerick Historical Society, 545 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, PA 19468-1417.
