Ryan Kyle Rutledge, age 35, passed away due to a tragic accident on December 5, 2025, in Cambridge, Ontario. Born on February 3, 1990, in Parry Sound, Ontario, Ryan brought light and laughter to those around him throughout his life.
A proud graduate of Georgian College, Ryan earned his certification as a 309A Electrician and built a career with an automation company. His technical skill and dedication to his craft were evident in every project he undertook. Known for his intelligence and determination, Ryan approached both work and life with a strong will and a sharp mind.
Ryan was affectionately known by many as "Meets," a nickname that followed him through countless hours of gaming—especially in the World of Warcraft community where he found camaraderie and joy. Gaming was more than a pastime for Ryan; it was a passion that connected him with friends near and far.
He is lovingly remembered by his girlfriend, Jecenta Duffy; his mother, Linda; his father Shawn (Dory); his sister Sierra (Malcolm); and his nephews Hugo and Warren. Ryan also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him deeply. He was predeceased by his grandparents.
Those who knew Ryan will remember him as polite and helpful—a true "knight in shining armor." His kindness was matched only by his stubborn streak, which often revealed the depth of his convictions and loyalty to those he cared about.
May Ryan's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire acts of kindness, courage, and connection. A celebration of life will be held in the new year and will be announced on social media.
