Ryan Robert Vail

Ryan Robert Vail, 39, of Glastonbury passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, after a long battle with appendiceal cancer.

Born in Hartford, Ryan was a lifelong Glastonbury resident. He is survived by his wife, Mindyleigh, and their beloved dog, Max.

He graduated from Glastonbury High School and went on to continue his education, graduating from the University of Connecticut. Ryan built a proud and successful finance career in the insurance industry.

Ryan cherished life experiences and he found that through hiking, traveling, and his love of animals. He enjoyed competing in endurance sports and was an enthusiastic supporter of UConn athletics.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hartford Hospital, as well as to friends, family, and colleagues for their unwavering support and kindness during this challenging time.

Funeral services and burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society at cthumane.org.
