Sabina Morrow

Sabina Bridget Callaghan Morrow ("Bina"), 89, passed away on December 17, 2025.

Born in 1936 in Cahersiveen, County Kerry, Ireland, to Sabina Folan and Michael Callaghan, she was predeceased by her siblings John, Patrick, Kathleen, Mary, and Joseph. Raised in Sligo, she enjoyed riding her bicycle and rowing on Lough Gill in her early years - adventures that hinted at the independence that would define her life. She immigrated to the United States in 1956, first settling in Pittsburgh and later making her home in New York City.

She married Andrew "Andy" Morrow in 1968, and together they raised three sons. After Andy's sudden death in 1983, Bina carried her family forward with strength and determination while working for the Hewlett-Woodmere School District until her retirement in 2007. She then moved to Vienna, Virginia, where she lovingly cared for her granddaughters for many years.

Bina was first diagnosed with cancer in 2010, enjoying many years of remission before its return, always meeting life with humor, grace, and deep love.

She is survived by her sons James (Marie), Peter (Adrienne), and Brendan (Rita), and her cherished grandchildren Andrew, Kathleen, Audrey, Elizabeth, Declan, and Mary.

A Funeral Mass will be held on May 15, 2026 at 10:45 a.m. at St. Agnes Cathedral, Rockville Centre, NY, followed by burial at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY.
