Sally Jane Baker

Sally Jane (Garwood) Baker, age 91, of Arlington Heights, IL, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025.

Born on February 3, 1934, in Fort Wayne, IN, she was a longtime resident of Schaumburg, IL. She retired at age 62 after a fulfilling career as an assistant registrar at James B. Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, IL.

She is survived by her devoted children, Robert and Nancy; her younger brother, William Garwood; their immediate and extended families; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents, Maurice and Marthena Garwood; and her younger sister, Maureen Bahm.

Sally, known affectionately as "Kitty Grandma" for her deep love of cats, also found joy in gardening, counted cross-stitch, reading, and travel. She will be remembered for her kind heart and gentle spirit.
