Sally Hultberg, 87, of Rochester, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, in her hometown after a courageous seven-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Born on August 5, 1938, also in Rochester, the daughter of Thomas and Emma Morgan, she remained deeply rooted in the community that shaped her life.

Sally began her professional journey as a secretary at Clarostat and later at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Her career culminated at the Rochester Department of Public Works, where she served as a dedicated and welcoming presence until her retirement in 2000. Known for her warm demeanor and steady voice on the phone, Sally was a familiar and friendly face to countless residents who came through the department's doors or called seeking assistance.

Family was at the heart of Sally's world. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Kristen Henderson and her husband Ken; her son Erik Hultberg; granddaughters Summer Henderson and Shael Henderson; great-granddaughter Charlotte Merkey; brothers Tom Morgan and wife Gwen; Jim Morgan and wife Ann; brother-in-law Norman Elliott and many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Ranagan; sister Jean Elliott and dear friend Dana Libby.

Sally found immense joy in supporting her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Whether attending Summer and Shael's volleyball and softball games or cheering them on at dance recitals and competitions, she was their biggest fan. She also delighted in watching Charlotte perform on stage at dance recitals. These moments brought her profound happiness and pride.

A lifelong lover of the ocean, Sally held a special place in her heart for York Beach. As a child, she spent many cherished days there with her family, creating memories that would shape a tradition she passed down to her own children through countless summer visits.

Throughout her illness, Sally faced every challenge with humor and grace. Her radiant spirit touched everyone she encountered—from receptionists to lab techs to oncology and hospital staff—who often left their interactions with her uplifted by laughter and warmth. She became a favorite among caregivers not only for her resilience but for the joy she brought into every room. The support she received from an extraordinary circle of healthcare providers was a testament to the love she inspired.

Sally's legacy is one of strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her. A Funeral Service will be held on December 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church 71 Lowell St. Rochester, NH. Calling hours will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
