Salvatore Cataldo

Salvatore Cataldo Jr., 65, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Sal was born on June 16, 1960, to the late Josephine and Salvatore Cataldo Sr. From a young age, he worked at Sorrento Importing, where he discovered a lifelong passion for food and cooking. He later dedicated himself to owning and operating R&S Italian Style Deli, where he not only served the community but also shared his love of cooking by offering lessons to others.
Sal found great joy in preparing traditional Italian meals for his family, bringing everyone together around the table. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed drawing in his spare time. Above all, Sal treasured time spent with his family, whom he loved deeply and was immensely proud of. The love he had for his grandchildren was very special.
He is survived by his three loving children, Elizabeth Carrano (Brett), Victoria Rivera (Jose), and Daniel Cataldo (Jenna); his brother, Carmelo Cataldo; his four cherished grandchildren, Jaiden, Gia, Adriana, and Amelia; along with several cousins and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 16, at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret Shrine in Bridgeport.
