Sandra K. Bailey

Sandra Duckett (Bailey) 81 years of age, formerly of Florence and Leighton Alabama was born October 6, 1944, made her transitioned Tuesday morning April 7th, 2026, in Merrillville Indiana.
She was a longtime resident of Lincolnshire nursing home in Merrillville, Indiana. She also spent some years beforehand at Clark Nursing Home in Gary, Indiana.
Sandra was a fun person to be around and had an infectious laugh that would light up the whole room. She loved everything about beauty and fashion. One thing that was necessity for Sandra was getting her nails done everyday. Which is why she attended and graduated from Cosmetology College in her early years.
Sandra was the granddaughter of the late John Henry and Rubye Lynn Hooks of Florence Alabama. She was loved dearly by her family and siblings. Michael W. Moore Sr.(brother), who made sure his sister Sandra was well taken care of, was a very special commitment while he was with us that will forever be remembered by all that love this family.
Sandra is proceeded in death by her husband Clint; mother, Martha L. Smith; father; William Duckett Sr., brother, Michael W. Moore Sr. sister; Delores Smith, uncle and auntie James and Cleo Suggs.
She leaves to cherish her memory loving brother; Robert Otis of Gary, IN and a loving sister Janice Griffin of Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
Visitation, Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. All Services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue. Gary, Indiana 46404. Pastor Lonnie Hogan Officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
