1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
(NASB) or (KJV)

Sandy was born on January 6, 1945, the daughter of the late Walter L. Nave and Mable Dora (Dee) Potts Nave. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Beau Bowens, and by her brother, Julian Nave, and her sister, Mary Jo Nave Wysong. She was also preceded in death by many beloved family members before her. Sandy is survived by nephews and a niece, and many cousins she grew up with, and her cousin/sister, Beverly Council, and her son, Daniel, of Dayton, OH. Sandy is loved by her family and will be sorely missed.

Sandy is a born-again Christian. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior many years ago at Webster Street Baptist Church in Dayton, OH, under the teachings of Pastor Ova Murrill.

Sandy spent the last 18+ years of her life at Mad River Manor, senior housing, in Riverside, OH, living her life independently. She had a lovely apartment and friends within the building. Over the years, Sandy participated in many activities held within the building.

Sandy had an outgoing personality, and she was a great conversationalist. She loved talking to people, including friends and family on the telephone. Sandy was always comfortable initiating conversation with anyone, be you friend or a stranger.

Sandy loved attending a good Southern Baptist Church service, reading books, cooking, knitting, crocheting, sewing, watching a good television program, keeping up with current events, listening to old-school Country Music, and socializing with friends and family.

In honoring Sandy's final wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.

Sandy has arranged to bequeath her body to Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine, for medical education and research. It is there that many medical students and future physicians will study her body and learn from her life. After that process is over, her remains will be cremated, and her ashes will be interred at Rockafield Cemetery, on the campus of Wright State University, located in Dayton, OH.

Special recognition. I would like to thank Sandy's Doctors and the caring and compassionate Nursing Staff at Bethany Village, who took care of Sandy during her final days of life. Thank you, Cascade.

I want to mention several long-time friends that Sandy held dear. Thank You, Dear Argel and Gloria. You were family to Sandy, and always in Sandy's life. Thank You, Judy Carol. You were Sandy's best friend and buddy. Thank You, Karen. You were Sandy's special friend and companion during the last years of her life. Thank you for all you did for Sandy. And, last but not least, Thank You, Lois, cousin and lifelong close confidant. May God Bless you all.
