Ms. Sandra Elizabeth Robinson (Pugh), age 72, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Danbury, Connecticut.
Born on August 16, 1953, in Wales, Sandra was the beloved daughter of Lewis and Gladys Pugh. She pursued her education with dedication and graduated Class of 1974, from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. Her early life in Wales and academic journey laid the foundation for a lifetime of compassion and service to others.
Sandra raised her children in New Fairfield CT, and devoted over three decades of her professional life to the New Fairfield Public School system, where she worked as a special education paraprofessional. Her unwavering commitment to her students was evident year after year. She was known for her advocacy on behalf of those she supported and for creating an environment where all children felt seen, valued, and encouraged to thrive.
Sandra's warmth extended far beyond her professional life. She was a loving mother to her three children: David and his wife Laura, Andrew, and Elizabeth Robinson. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren—Dexter, Blake, and Beau—whom she adored deeply. She delighted in sharing stories about them with her friends and colleagues.
Sandra greatly enjoyed reading and could often be found with a book in hand or chatting over coffee or tea with friends. English butter cookies were a favorite indulgence during these cherished moments. Whether enjoying a quiet morning at Starbucks or laughing with loved ones over a bite to eat, Sandra brought lightness and humor wherever she went. Her love of dogs added another layer to her nurturing spirit, always offering to dog sit for her friends and family.
Sandra's presence was marked by kindness, dedication, the most beautiful singing voice, and a wonderful sense of humor that endeared her to all who knew her. She will be remembered not only for the lives she touched through education but also for the love she gave so freely to family and friends alike.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Gladys Pugh, Sandra will be rejoining her parents in Wales, honoring her deep seated love and pride for her heritage.
A memorial service celebrating Sandra's life will be held at a later date.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
