Scott Alan Hickey, born on June 11, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away at the age of 65 on January 17, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. Scott graduated from Wayne High School and spent many years working in manufacturing, where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic.
Scott was a deeply caring individual, generously sharing his time, talents, and resources with both friends and family. He was an active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and was a Knights of Columbus 500 council member. Scott found great joy in his travels with friends/family and time spent at his cabin on Norris Lake, Tennessee.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Norma (Wenzel) Hickey; siblings, Chris (Mary) Hickey, Cindy (Dan) Fuhrmann, and Shawn Hickey; nieces and nephews Meredith (Sean) O'Neill, Jack, Emmet, Molly; Mason (Lindsay) Hickey; Connor Fuhrmann and Eli Fuhrmann; close cousin Paul (Michelle) Dunigan; beloved uncle Tom Wenzel.
A service to celebrate Scott's life will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 272 Bainbridge St., Dayton, Ohio, on 2-13-26, 9:00 a.m. visitation,10:00 a.m. mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Life Connections of Ohio or the American Diabetes Association.
