Sean Patrick Tate

Sean, born on December 19, 1969, was a man filled with love, loyalty, and joy. He had a lifelong passion for football and never passed up a good plate of greens and barbecue. Music was the heartbeat of his life—he spent countless hours making and listening to the songs he loved, especially those of Michael Jackson.
Sean was a devoted son, brother, father, and friend—an all-around good man who cherished every moment spent with his family and those close to him. Among his dearest friends was Ace, his brother in faith and spirit.

He took great pride in his hometown of Gary, Indiana, a place that always held a special place in his heart.
Sean is preceded in death by his grandmother Dorothy, his father Hemp Townsend, son Sean Jr. and his beloved cousin Deborah. He is survived by his loving mother Sharon; his children Iveriana, Laurielle, and Dionte; and many other cherished family members and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Funeral service will be held at McDuffie Funeral Home 1525 Broadway Gary, IN. Viewing 10:00AM-11:00AM with funeral immediately following at 11:00AM. He will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery. Condolences can be emailed to [email protected]
