Seferino Moncevais Jr.

With sadness in our hearts and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we share the passing of our beloved Seferino Moncevais Jr., born on 3/14/1945, who left us on 1/28/2026 at the age of 80. He was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, caring great grandfather, and a dear friend to many.

Born in Edinburg, TX, Seferino Moncevais Jr. lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. He was known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and generosity. He made the world brighter for those around him.

In his free time, Seferino Moncevais Jr. enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Seferino Moncevais Jr. will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Gloria Moncevais, his children Joe Moncevais, Lisa Moncevais, Melanie Moncevais (Jose), 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his father Seferino Moncevais Sr., mother Maria Moncevais, and brother Victor Moncevais. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly for his kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Seferino Moncevais Jr. will be held on 2/12/2026 at The Casa Bonita Funeral Home, viewing at 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. A rosary at St. Luke's Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. and a mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.

Seferino Moncevais Jr. may have left this world, but his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
