Sharon Bala

Sharon Elaine (Severance) Bala, 77, passed away on February 26, 2026, in Topsfield, Maine, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on August 26, 1948, in Calais, Maine, Sharon's life was marked by love and devotion to her family and friends

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Jennifer McDonald, Carolyn Karandy and her husband Doug, and James A. Bala. Sharon also adored her role as a grandmother to Matthew, Meagan, Liam, Benjamin, and Henry. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James W. Bala.

In honor of Sharons memory, donations may be made to House in the Woods, a veterans retreat located at 217 Skunk Hill Road, Lee, Maine 04455. This organization held a special place in her heart.

As per her wishes, no services will be held.
