Sharon Elaine Corven (Buse), a resident of Armada Mi, passed on December 15th at her home of more than 20 years. She passed after a brief battle with metastatic breast cancer while in the care of hospice. Sharon was predeceased by her husband of 71 years David and her eldest daughter Desiree. She is survived by her eldest daughter, Candace (Blofield), her daughter Rebecca (Ruthenberg), her son Christopher (Corven), as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharon spent many of her later years caring for her grandchildren and assisting in raising them. She often participated in and supported her grandchildren in various activities and sporting events. She was considered the 'go to 'grandparent on many occasions. Those that knew Sharon considered her to be strong, quick to laugh, and always ready to help when needed.
Sharon cherished her siblings and made the most of every chance to travel and spend time with them. Sharon also took great pride in her home and garden and one of her favorite pastimes was visiting gardens and nurseries in search of just the perfect plantings. Both Sharon and husband David always went to great lengths to care for their home.
As a mom, sister, or nana Sharon will be greatly missed and memories of her generosity and caring ways will be bittersweet.
For those able to spend time with her in her last years was a blessing in disguise. Those days will well treasured.
