Sharon Ann Drennan (née Buntenbach), age 68, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. She unfortunately lost her long battle to cancer.

Born on September 18, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, Sharon was the daughter of the late William J. Buntenbach Sr. and Shirlee Ann Buntenbach (née Smith). She grew up in the Des Plaines area and graduated from Maine West High School as part of the Class of 1975.

On March 31, 1979, Sharon married the love of her life, Thomas M. Drennan Sr., beginning a devoted partnership that spanned 46 years. Together they built a loving family and shared a life filled with enduring commitment and cherished memories. Majority of their married life was spent in Wheeling, IL. The last few years of her life were spent in Davis, IL.

Sharon was a proud mother to four children: Elizabeth (Rob) Rup, Thomas Drennan Jr., Daniel (Courtney) Drennan, and Victoria (Eden) Gutierrez. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy; she leaves behind fourteen beloved grandchildren: William, Roxana, Caleb, Sammy, Marriyah, Brooke, Abdiel, Cain, Yaritsa, Sadie, Sofiyah, Greyson, Mateo, and Selena.

She is also survived by her sister Debra (Steve) Wieber and brothers Chuck (Marlene) Buntenbach and James (Maryann) Buntenbach. Sharon's extended family includes many beloved nieces and nephews across generations—great and great-great—each of whom held a special place in her heart. Amongst other family members in which she stayed in contact with over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother William J. Buntenbach Jr and other family members that have passed prior to her.

Sharon had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. An avid reader with an insatiable curiosity for stories and knowledge, she found peace in quiet moments spent with a good book. She loved basking in the warmth of sunny days by the pool or beaches and found joy in exploring new places during her travels around parts of the world. These experiences enriched her life and reflected her adventurous spirit.

Sharon's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on through the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Sharon asked prior to her passing for no wake/funeral, she requested a private memorial celebrating her life at a later date.
