Sharon Marie Marcellette (née Culhane) was born on July 25, 1949, in Rochester, New York. In 1973, she and her husband, Ronald John Marcellette, packed up their life and moved to Arizona, beginning a new chapter that would soon grow into a bustling, love filled home. Together, they raised four daughters and one son in Glendale, Arizona.
When Sharon lost Ron in 1991, she faced life with the same strength and devotion that had always defined her. She went to work, finished raising her children on her own, and never once stopped putting them first. Her family was her purpose, and she poured her whole heart into them.
Sharon was an active member of St. Clare of Assisi parish, where her faith grounded her and her community enriched her life. After retiring, she found joy in giving back. She volunteered with the City of Surprise Police Department and St. Vincent de Paul, attended bible study, and spent countless hours with the friends and family she cherished so deeply.
On July 29, 2024, Sharon reunited with her beloved husband in heaven. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet generosity. She is survived by her five children—Kimberly Vanderwerf, Jill Platt, Holly Madden, Michael Marcellette, and Jennifer Marcellette—along with 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her steady presence and unwavering love.
Sharon lived a life defined by faith, family, and service. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit, her strength, and the way she made everyone around her feel cared for.
