Sharon Marie Wagner, 57, passed away on January 2, 2026, in Bryceville, Florida. Born on July 13, 1968, in Hackensack, New Jersey, Sharon lived a life characterized by love, resilience, and steadfast dedication to both her family and her profession.
Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend whose compassion and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her gentle nature and generous spirit were evident in the way she consistently placed others before herself. She especially treasured time spent traveling and camping with her husband, creating lasting memories together.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Craig Wagner; her mother, Patricia Rothman; her children, Christina Pietrafesa (Chris), Jacob Cofske (Erin), Alie Cofske (Nick), Jillian Wagner (Amber), and Shane Wagner (Kristen); along with her cherished grandchildren, Lauren, Aaron, Natalee, Jacob, Luca, Hunter, and Madilyn. Her grandchildren brought her immeasurable happiness and were a continual source of pride and delight.
Throughout her professional life, Sharon dedicated more than 40 years of service as a Homeland Security Specialist with the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Her career reflected diligence, commitment, and a strong sense of responsibility. She made meaningful contributions to her field and earned the admiration of colleagues. Sharon retired in September 2025, concluding a distinguished and honorable career.
Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and connection. Sharon had a remarkable gift for bringing people together, ensuring that all felt welcomed, valued, and cared for. Her compassion and quiet strength formed the cornerstone of her family, offering steady guidance and reassurance.
Although her passing leaves a profound absence in the lives of those who loved her, the memories she created and the love she shared will endure. Her children and grandchildren remained at the center of her life, and the values she instilled will continue to shape and inspire them.
Sharon Marie Wagner will always be deeply loved, dearly missed, and forever remembered. May her memory bring peace and comfort to all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Lake Heritage Clubhouse, 1000 Heritage Drive, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. All who knew and loved Sharon are invited to gather, share memories, and honor her life. Guests are encouraged to wear bright and colorful clothing in tribute to a life beautifully lived.
