Sharon Deanna Wallace

Deanna Wallace, age 81, of Knoxville TN, passed away surrounded by her loving family. A Knoxville native, Deanna also cherished her second home in Rockledge, Florida, where she spent many joyful years.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Helen Mann. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Harry Lee Wallace; her sons and daughters in law, Brent and Lisa Wallace, and Benji and Kelly Wallace; and her cherished grandchildren: Brent Lee and Taylor Wallace, Lauren (Wallace) and Blake Burleigh, Dr. Natalie (Wallace) and Colby Jones, Abbey (Wallace) and Nate Jones, and Emilyn Wallace. Deanna also adored her great-grandchildren, Wallace “Ace” and Banks Burleigh. She treasured her beloved sisters, Linda and (Galen) Methvin, Kay and (Bobby) Stevens, and Becky Henson and many precious nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A proud graduate of Central Hugh School, Deanna was actively involved in her sorority, and she found great fulfillment volunteering at the fish pantry of St. Thomas Episcopal Church where she was a member. She created a lovely family home with Harry, where they raised their two sons, immersed in avid beautiful flower gardening, cooking, and canning and cherished time spent together.

Deanna’s love for reading inspired a passion for learning in her children and grandchildren. After retiring, she and Harry began camping in Florida, which ultimately led to their final move to the sunshine state, where they enjoyed their golden years at her favorite place: the beach. Throughout her time in Florida, Deanna fostered wonderful friendships and found immense joy in listening to Harry serenade her with her favorite songs at the local club, as well as spending sunny afternoons fishing together in their boat.

Now, we imagine, Deanna twirling joyfully in her sparkly dress, adorned with sparkly earring and the shiniest shoes, celebrating her eternal spirit.
