Shawn Senna, known affectionately by his wife as "Boop", died in his home on April 4th, 2026. Shawn died following a long and relentless battle with addiction - a battle he approached with stoic resolve, getting up each time he was knocked down. While Shawn may have lost his battle, he will be remembered for his kindness, his wit and creativity, and his innate desire to help others in their own times of need.

A true lover of music, Shawn was most in his element when he was listening to, sharing, or creating music. This passion served as a bridge that connected him to several of his closest friends and led him to a fast-paced and interesting position at Red Rocks Amphitheater through the 2024 season. There, four nights a week, he helped produce sold-out concerts and shows, immersed in the world he loved.

An animal lover at his core, his family finds comfort knowing that a very special pug named Fudge was waiting at the Rainbow Bridge, eager to escort Shawn on.

He leaves behind his wife, Erika Senna, and both of his parents, John and Deanna Senna, all of whom were steadfast in their love of Shawn and will miss him desperately.

A celebration of life will be held on May 10th, 2026 at Trail Winds Recreation Center in Thornton, Colorado from 11 am - 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Colorado Pug Rescue (www.copugrescue.org), or Harmony Recovery (www.harmonyrecovery.org) in Shawn's honor. Both organizations held a special place in Shawn's heart, as he found his joy and peace with his puggy-boys (Fudge, Darwin, and Charlie) or surrounded by nature, learning about recovery at Harmony in Estes Park.

"The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater." - J.R.R. Tolkien
