Sheila Ann Ellis

Sheila Ann Ellis (70), a shining light, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Hospice of Hamilton in Ohio, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 13, 1955 in Washington, DC. She graduated from Western HS (now Duke Ellington) and attended Howard University, laying the foundation for a life of purpose. She resided in Brooklyn, NY for over 30 years before moving to Hamilton Ohio in 2019. Her career with American International Group in Manhattan, NY, was marked by dedication and perseverance, until her retirement in 2022. Sheila's passions included reading, spirituality, and self-reflection, which inspired her love of travel and exploration. Paris held a special place in her heart. She leaves behind her mother Ruby Robertson, a son Damon Ellis, a daughter Keina Ellis (Chrissy), 4 grand children, 3 great grands, and a network of relatives and friends. Her celebration of life was held at Holy Comforter, Saint Cyprian, Catholic Church in Washington, DC, on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 11 AM. Burial will be at a later date.
