Shelly Emanuel Morrison

Shelly Emanuel Morrison, age 80, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away December 7, 2025 at Mercy Center Hospital. Shelly was a devoted father, grandfather and uncle and will be dearly missed by all who loved him. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was well known for being a prankster amongst his family and friends. His laugh was infectious and he always had kind words for everyone.

Shelly served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict from 1963 to 1969. On June 21, 1969 he married his sweetheart Murriel Lugiewitcz. On Dec 23, 1975 they were blessed with twin daughters Deborah and Barbara.

During his younger years, he was a member of the Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville where he served as a Sunday School teacher and board member.

In 2008 Shelly retired from the dentistry equipment repair service industry where he worked for over 40 years ending his career at Henry Schein.

Shelly is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Chris) Theis and Barbara Morrison, two grandchildren Tyler Theis and Jordan Theis , a Sister Stephanie (Jim) Vaupel and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Howard & Annis Morrison, two sisters Elsie (Ed) Wagner and Esther (George) Hanabarger, two brothers Fred (Dolores) Morrison and Ted (Ruth) Morrison.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday January 25, 2026 from 12 pm - 3 pm at the Amvets 1194 Jericho Road, Aurora, IL 60506.
