Sherry Coy Nielsen

Sherry Coy Nielsen, 84, passed away at her home on March 28, 2026, in Surprise, AZ from Alzheimer's. Born on April 11, 1941, in Trenton Utah to Cleve and Mary Hancock. She grew up with her sister Margie (deceased) in Ogden Utah. Sherry graduated from Ben Lomond High School.

In 1959 she married Clark Nielsen (deceased). Together they raised three children; Bart, Dayna, and Paul (Maggie). She was immensely proud of her four grand-children Ashley (Elias), Connor, Kaylee (Preston) and Triston along with her two loving great grandchild, Theodore and Quincy.

She had a fulfilling career as a bookkeeper for various companies in Boise, Idaho, and Salt Lake City, Utah until her retirement in 2000.
She was known for her nurturing spirit, she dedicated much of her time to caregiving, always ready to assist anyone in need. She loved to cook Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for her family and relatives. Her specialty was making pies and teaching other her craft.

Sherry will be remembered for her great sense of humor, kindness and dedication to her family and friends. Her legacy of love and care will continue to live on through her family and all who knew her.

A Celebration of her Life will be held May 9, 2026 at Farmington South Stake House , 295 South 200 East, at 2:00 p.m. A burial of Sherry and Clark's ashes will be held before the Celebration of Life that afternoon at 12:30 at the Ogden cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to any Alzheimer's charity would be greatly appreciated.
