Shirley J. Green

Shirley was born in Akron, CO and lived in Anton in eastern Colorado until she was 12. Went to a one room school. Moved to Denver and met her husband, Lewis, in High School Band. She was married 76 years. She had three children, Fleeta, Mike and Kevin, six grand children and nine great grand children. They moved to Bellevue in 1962. She was an original member of Aldersgate UMC. She had many activities including cake decorating, flower arranging, wood working, hiking, snow shoeing, skiing, and tandem paragliding (at 70!) She was a great cook, including for 20 people on holidays. She passed away at home 9 days short of her 95th birthday. Her remains are at Tahoma National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Aldersgate UMC on January 3rd at 2 pm.
