Shirley Arlene Seelye

Shirley Seelye, age 92, passed away on January 8, 2026, in Sterling Heights, MI. Born on July 24, 1933, Shirley lived a vibrant and full life. She retired after many years of dedicated service at K-Mart and Kohl's, where she was cherished by her colleagues and customers alike.

Shirley had a passion for traveling, adoring the serene beauty of snowcapped mountains, and had a profound love for of all cats big and small. Her shopping trips were always an adventure, filled with joy and excitement. These hobbies brought great pleasure to her life, creating lasting memories for her and her loved ones.

Shirley is survived by her children, Blake and Keith Seelye, Charlene Rife, and Darlene Kirkwood (Tony Yearego); grandchildren, Krysten and Dayna Rife; and great-grandchildren, Nieko Kirkwood and Elijah Rife-Qayed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Genevieve Harris; her husband, Bruce Seelye; brothers, Edward and William Harris; son-in-law, Roderick Rife, and grandson, Brent Kirkwood.

The interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township on January 16, 2026, at 11 am. Shirley's life will be celebrated by her family, friends, and those she touched throughout her years. Her spirit and legacy will live on through the cherished memories held by her loved ones.
