Shirley Ann Tipton, Age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18th 2025 at home surrounded by loving family members. Shirley was born July 4th 1936 in Phenix City Alabama. She was the third daughter of the late Willie Weaver and Eunice Boone. Moving to Tampa at an early age, she graduated Jefferson High School in 1954.
Her devotion to her family and her beloved late husband of 69 years, James V. Tipton Jr. was amazing. Everyone was welcome and happy at Granny's house.
She was a charter member of the Woodland Community Church and for many years, she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Beside her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Ann Russel and Willean Taylor.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Wolfe and her husband Robert of Parrish, Florida, a son, Donald Tipton and his wife Pennie of Matthews, North Carolina. She leaves behind five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Woodland Community Church. Visitation at the church is from 10:00am to 11:00am. Service will start at 11:00am with burial at Skyway Memorial Garden.
