Sonji Renee Weatherspoon "Renee"age 60 of Gary,In passed away October 20,2025. Sonji Weatherspoon was born August 3, 1965. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. Sonji was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School Class of 1985. She was a homemaker. She loved singing karaoke, arts & crafts (which are on display at Northlake and Southlake Methodist on various floors) Sonji loved being around family & friends hosting countless card parties and fish frys. She is proceeded in death by her parents: Jessie Ruth Bussell & Austin Weatherspoon Sr. sister Beverly Weatherspoon and brothers Willie (Sonny) Robinson and Alton (Gain Money) Weatherspoon , baby Boy: Darryle (D-Money) Joshua and her grandmother Rachel (Mama Rachel) Weatherspoon .
Sonji leaves her cherished children: Austin Weatherspoon, Olana Weatherspoon, RaJessica Weatherspoon, Rachel Weatherspoon and bonus Son: Darvell Williams , grandchildren: Trey'Quan, Khamari, Daloren Jr., O'Niya, SoMayia, Diamond, Arianna, Tristan, Khi'Shawn, Da'Jhaun, Sincere, Renzo, Da'Layah, Damiya ,sisters: Ikeitha Weatherspoon, Melissa Bussell, & Shaniece Weatherspoon, brothers: Austin Trimble, Treymane Trimble and Schuyler Weatherspoon,special Niece: Zekeda Moss,aunt: Archenell McKenny and bonus Parents: Barney & Patricia Joshu .Countless more nieces, nephews , great nieces & nephews and family members.
