Stanley Clark Alexander, 68, of Sterling, VA, passed away on January 12, 2025, at Georgetown Medical Center in Washington, DC. Stanley was born on February 22, 1956, to Grayson and Betty Wood Alexander in Richmond, VA. He grew up in Harrisonburg, where he was a proud graduate of Turner Ashby High School and James Madison University.

As a young man, Stanley developed a love for physical activity and martial arts, becoming a Virginia state Tae Kwon Do champion. He began his professional life as a teacher in Richmond before honorably serving his country in the United States Marine Corps for six years. His time in the Marine Corps shaped a lifelong sense of discipline and duty that remained with him throughout his life. After his military service, Stanley transitioned into a career in telecommunications, working with CFW in Charlottesville and later with nTelos in Waynesboro. At the age of 52, he left that career to study various forms of physical therapy, which allowed him to work and travel around the world—from the U.S. to India, Seychelles, and across Asia. He had a special passion for working with athletes and spent time supporting the football teams at the University of Virginia and the University of Richmond, as well as multiple professional athletes. Up until his passing, Stanley maintained an active lifestyle, continuing to cycle and exercise every day.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Kanta Khaokomol; his son, Nathan Alexander; and his brother, Jim Alexander. He was laid to rest on April 27, 2025, at Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery in Crozet, Virginia. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Reston Hospital Center and the Georgetown Intensive Care Unit for the compassionate care they provided during Stanley's brief stay. He will be remembered for his deep kindness, enthusiasm, and endless curiosity about the world.
