Stanley Grabowski

Stanley F. Grabowski Jr., 81, of Bristol, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2026, surrounded by the comfort of family and familiar surroundings.

Stanley was a man who never met a stranger and could turn any conversation into a story worth telling. Known for his gift of gab and his legendary tall tales, he had a way of making people laugh and feel at ease wherever he went. He had a deep love for fishing, a lifelong passion for sports, and a remarkable knack for fixing just about anything—true handyman skills that reflected both his patience and ingenuity. Above all, Stanley's sense of humor and warm hugs left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Dala Grabowski; his son Wayne Goodwin of Rhode Island, his daughter Dierdre Grafft of South Carolina; and his son Alan Grabowski and daughter-in-law Amanda Grabowski of Connecticut. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Above all, his family brought him immense joy and pride.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Stanley on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 09:30 AM to 10:30 AM at First Congregational Church of Bristol 31 Maple Street. Visitation held in Church Auditorium.

A Memorial Service will be held shortly afterwards at 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at First Congregational Church of Bristol.

Stanley will be remembered for his stories, his laughter, his steady hands, and the love he shared so freely. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
