Stanley Scott "Sparky" Parker

1959 - 2026

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Stanley Scott "Sparky" Parker passed from this life at his home in Loudon, Tennessee. Sparky was preceded in death by his father, William Reed Parker, his mother, Arlene Ann Parker, and his aunt, Jeannie Cullom.
Sparky is survived by his devoted wife, Donna Blair, whom he loved deeply and fiercely; his daughters, Staci Ann Wheeler (Jonathan) and Sheri Kay Varnum (Ryan), who were the pride and joy of his life; his sister, Kimberly Barney (Jeff); and his niece, Kelly Fischer (Tyler). He is also survived by his stepchildren, Brittany Rule and Josh Rule, and their children—Hamilton, Journey, Jupiter, and Gia—who lovingly knew him as "Pop Pop."
He is also survived by his aunts, Linda and Sue, along with many beloved cousins, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Sparky never met a stranger- everyone who knew him loved him. Sparky loved people and thoroughly enjoyed aggravating those he loved. He was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed playing pool. He adored music. He constantly quizzed his daughters about who sang what song and taught them the importance of listening to the words. The amount of peanut butter he could eat was astounding; especially if it was in an XL milkshake from Carl's or one of Sheri's buckeyes.
Above all, Sparky loved the Lord and lived with a grateful heart, often expressing how thankful he was for the many blessings in his life. He was full of life, funny, and kind. He often asked his daughters to sing "Unclouded Day," and we find comfort and joy in knowing that he is now experiencing that unclouded day.

"O they tell me that He smiles on His children there,
And His smile drives their sorrows all away;
And they tell me that no tears ever come again
In that lovely land of unclouded day."
