Stephanie Bright

Stephanie "Kristy" Bright, age 56, passed away on March 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. A resident of Kingsport, Tennessee, Kristy was known for her love of life, especially her time spent at the beach, traveling, and making lasting memories with friends and family. She dedicated many years of service as a valued employee of the VA Hospital in Johnson City, TN.

Kristy will be deeply missed by her loving family, including her mother, Jackie Tranbarger; her sisters, Tia Beco, Tara Bunch, Tonia Tranbarger, and Tasha Tranbarger; her brother, Ray Bright; and her brother-in-law, Wes Bunch. She is also survived by her aunts, Sarah Williams and Jeanie Crumpton; her nieces Addison Bunch and Tyquia Tranbarger; her nephews, Rhys Bunch and Maverick Tranbarger. She also leaves behind her cherished best friends, Heidi McClain and Kelly Williams.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Tranbarger.

A visitation for friends and family, followed by a celebration of Kristy's life, will be held on Thursday, March 19, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mafair United Methodist Church.
Kristy's strength, warmth, and love for those around her will never be forgotten.
