Stephen Pearl Fields

Stephen P. Fields of Ormond Beach passed away on March 5, 2026 after a long battle with prostate cancer. Steve was born July 5th of 1948 in Iowa to parents Bernard and Josephine. He was raised in Columbus, Ohio with sisters Elizabeth (2019) and Laura where he graduated from Whitehall High School in 1966.

After severing in the US Army during the Vietnam War, Steve attended The Ohio State University where he meet his formor wife Mitzi (2016). He spent a three decade career as an Airline Pilot, including over 25 years at American Airlines.

In his retirement, Steve found fulfillment in volunteering for various local sheriffs departments in Florida.

In addition to being an avid fan of Ohio State Football, Steve was a dog lover. He had many dogs including Lucas who was his companion through his final moments.

Steve is survived by wife Esperanza, sister Laura, son Andrew (Emily), daughter Amanda (Joseph), step-daughter Gabriela and grandchildren Alexander, Oliver, Daniel, Everett, Along with an extensive extended family that includes numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Steve would like to urge all males to undergo a PSA test.
