Stephen Frank

1946 - 2025

George Stephen Frank, age 78, passed away on February 5, 2025, in Cameron Park, California. Born on July 24, 1946, in San Diego, California, he lived a life marked by dedication to family, service to his country, and commitment to his community.

Stephen began his education at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Academy in San Diego and later attended St. Augustine High School before transferring to a public high school in Spring Valley. His athletic talents earned him a football scholarship to Arizona State College in Flagstaff, Arizona. He later continued his studies at San Diego State University.

In April 1968, Stephen enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Over the course of four years of honorable service—rising to the rank of Sergeant (E-5) in under two years—he was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan. His time in the military instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and leadership that would carry through every chapter of his life.

Following his military service, Stephen began his professional career as a manager with Sherwin-Williams Paint Company. He later transitioned into the water treatment industry where he found his true calling. As vice president of sales and part owner of a small water treatment chemical company based in Los Angeles, he played an instrumental role in its growth and success.

Stephen's greatest pride was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years Diane; sons Brian (Amanda), Michael (Kristin), and Kevin; and his seven cherished grandchildren. Also a sister, Meredith Frank and a brother Bruce Frank (Kate).
A devoted father and grandfather, Stephen made it a priority to be present for every milestone and moment that mattered. He coached youth sports—especially baseball and soccer—for all three of his sons, sharing not only his knowledge but also countless hours of encouragement from the sidelines.

He found joy on the golf course and valued time spent outdoors with friends and loved ones. Those who knew him best remember him as caring and generous—a steady presence who offered unwavering support during difficult times. He was truly the rock of his family.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents Al and Muriel Frank; siblings Al Frank II, Jeff Frank, Phyllis "Patsy" Frank, Tony Frank; and Sister Betty Ann Frank.

May George Stephen Stephen Frank's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who were touched by his strength, kindness, and devotion.
